Longrun Meadow is a short walk from Taunton's town centre. The meadow is home to a large open barn, a picnic area and the Willow Cathedral. This unique open space offers endless possibility for event organisers.
Environmental statement about Longrun Meadow management.
The Friends of Longrun Meadow aim to provide a high-quality green space for leisure and recreation. They manage the land in an environmentally sensitive way to continue to increase the diversity of flora and fauna. They continually seek to improve habitats for pollinators and are creating a wild flower meadow. The fields are used to produce a hay crop which is cut from mid-July onwards each year.
The Council receive a wide range of enquiries for the use of the land and it is important for the organisers to understand and respect the work of the Friends of group. The Council will review the impact your event will have on the environment before providing final approval.
To discuss any impacts of holding an event on the meadow, please contact Helen Lawy Chair of Friends of Longrun Meadow: Email Helen
